Camp Lela is a 40 acre children's camp located in north
central Oklahoma.
It is owned and operated by Cimarron Baptist Association.
It has been
designed and developed with children's spiritual needs
and interest in mind.
Each year the grounds play host to almost a thousand boys
and girls from all
across Oklahoma as they come in search of a place to
experience a fresh
encounter with Christ... and a place to have a good time!

The two small lakes on the grounds are a favorite with
the kids. The ponds
are kept stocked with perch, crappie and bass and the
children have a
great time fishing every year!
The natural beauty of the grounds at Lela attract
children and sponsors
back year after year as they enjoy the tranquility and
scenery that make
Camp Lela so special!
The maximum capacity of all sleeping facilities on the
grounds is
approximately 200. A small cabin is maintained year round
for use by
associational staff members.
Three dorm building are located on the grounds... each
two divided into two
separate bunk, shower and restroom areas and a large undivided dorm.
The five dorm rooms provide capacity for approximately
200 campers and
sponsors on the grounds at Camp Lela. The dorms have
central heat and air
conditioning and some facilities remain open year around
for week-end
retreats.
The purpose of Camp Lela is simple... to provide an
atmosphere where
children may experience God's love in a safe and fun
environment. The
open air tabernacle is a favorite place on the grounds as
the kids
look forward to the large group times.
The newest facilities on the grounds is a new dining hall
completed in 2001.
This building provides for dining space for 200, a full service kitchen,
sleeping quarters for cooks, a guest speakers quarters and a small bunk
room for volunteer helpers.
The grounds are used for three weeks each June to provide
Children's Camp
for Cimarron Baptist Association... the rest of the
summer (as well as spring
and fall) the grounds are available for rental to
churches for their use.
Each group is responsible for their own programing...
Cimarron Baptist
Association maintains the grounds, but provides program
leadership for only
the three weeks of it's own Children's Camp.
The charge is $3 per person per day with a 100
camper minimum expense.
For summer camp use there is a four day minimum during Monday thru
Friday.
The grounds are not available for Sunday use.
The grounds are located 7 miles west of Pawnee on Hwy 64.
Northeast of
Stillwater (Home of the OSU Cowboys) on Hwy 108. This
makes the grounds
available to most of north central Oklahoma within a 90
minute drive.
